Welcome to Bluemont Local! As parents and residents of Del Ray, we quickly recognized the unique charm and magic of our neighborhood. We fell in love with the strong Sense of community and the distinct lifestyle that Del Ray offers.

 

The vision for Bluemont Local emerged as we navigated the challenges of breast cancer and the difficulties of parenting two young children without nearby family support. This experience ignited a profound need for purpose, driving us to create a space where kids can play, learn, and socialize.

 

We collaborate with professionals in child development and artistic design to establish an environment that fosters connection and supports social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in a fun setting!

 

 The name Bluemont Local pays homage to the original train line that once connected Alexandria to the town of Bluemont in Loudoun County, featuring an electric trolley service between Georgetown in Washington, D.C., and Great Falls, Virginia. We believe this name perfectly captures the spirit of our vision and the community we aspire to create.
